How to Track a Crypto Wallet and Get Alerts When It Trades (2026)
A step-by-step guide to tracking any Solana or EVM wallet on Defined: find profitable traders, follow a wallet, set alert filters, organise lists, and get alerts on web, mobile and Telegram.

Tracking a wallet means following a specific onchain address so you see what it buys and sells, ideally within seconds of the trade. Traders use it to follow wallets that are consistently early and profitable, to watch a project team's wallets, or to keep an eye on their own cold storage. This guide shows how to do it on Defined, which tracks Solana and EVM wallets for free, with alerts you can filter per wallet, on the web, in the iOS and Android apps, and through the Telegram bot.
What you need
A free Defined account. Wallet tracking, the traders leaderboard, alerts and watchlists do not require a deposit; you pay a fee only if you trade.
Step 1: Find a wallet worth tracking
You can track any address you already have. If you are looking for wallets to follow, start at the traders page, which ranks wallets by realized profit over the window you choose, with win rate, number of trades and the tokens they have traded recently. Open a wallet to see its open positions, recent tokens and full trade history before you decide.
Two other places surface wallets: the top-holder and recent-trade panels on any token page, where you can open a trader straight from a buy or sell, and the prediction traders leaderboard, which ranks the most profitable Polymarket traders.
Step 2: Track it
On a trader's page, press Track. If you have the address from somewhere else, open the tracked traders drawer and paste it; Defined accepts Solana and EVM addresses. Give the wallet a name you will recognise, because a nickname like "Whale Alpha" is easier to read in an alert than an address.
Step 3: Set alert filters
Alerts are on by default for every tracked wallet, and you can tune them per wallet so a busy trader does not drown out the rest:
- Trade value: a minimum and maximum, so a $50 test buy does not alert you but a $20,000 entry does.
- Token market cap: a range, so you only hear about tokens in the size bracket you trade.
- Only first buy: alert the first time this wallet buys a token and stay quiet on its top-ups.
You can also mute a wallet without untracking it, and set defaults that apply to every new wallet you track.
Step 4: Organise with lists
Put tracked wallets into lists such as "Solana snipers" or "Base whales". Lists filter the activity feed and let you scope alerts to one group at a time.
Step 5: Read the activity
Tracked trades show up in three places: the tracked activity drawer, which lists every buy and sell from your tracked wallets with the token, size, market cap and age of the position; on the chart of any token, where tracked traders' trades are marked; and in alerts. On a trader's own page you can also replay their wallet history over time.
Step 6: Take alerts with you
The iOS and Android apps carry the same tracked traders, activity feed and alerts. The @defined_bot Telegram bot can track wallets too, and it has one extra trick: add the bot to a Telegram group and every token posted in that group becomes a scan, with the price at the time of the call and how it has done since, so you can see which callers in a group actually make money and follow the scan feed in the app.
Tips
- Track the wallet, not the token. A profitable wallet moves on; its next buy is the signal.
- Use the first-buy filter for snipers and the trade-value filter for whales. They fail in opposite directions without it.
- Check the trader page's history before you track. A single lucky trade can put a wallet at the top of a one-day leaderboard.
- Tracking is free, so track more than you act on and let the filters do the work.
